Ballykenry Meditation focuses on the practices of Vipassana, or Mindfulness, Transcendental Meditation and Guided Visualisations.
Vipassana is the process of detaching the mind from thoughts and directing attention to the now and present. We calm the mind using controlled breathing techniques and guide you through the process of detachment.
Transcendental Meditation is the practice of meditation using mantras and sitting still. We use various types of breathing techniques and chanting with the aim of achieving an 'out of body' experience.
Guided Visualisations change every week, this is an easy practice we use to promote feelings of calm and peace in our lives. This class can be taken lying down, sitting or using some basic yoga positions.
